Q & A with Forever Vendetta !!
With Trudi Goldsmith ( Dec 16)
Fresh from last weekend’s Llanelli gig, this week I find out more about rock band ‘Forever Vendetta’ from guitarist Liam Alonzi.
How long have forever Vendetta been together ?
Several years. The current line up has been together for the last 2 years though.
How would you describe your music ?
Hard Rock, Classic Rock.
What have the band been up to this year?
We have done a few one-off shows including a gig with the amazing Inglorious. We also played the Hard Rock Hell - Highway to Hell competition. Sadly we did not win but we loved the experience and it has opened many doors for us as a band. To be honest it's been a bit of a quiet year on the gig front as we are working on new music that will be due out sometime in 2017.
What has been your most memorable gig moment?
Playing a sell out show with Hardcore Superstar has to be a contender for most memorable gig. In recent times, the Inglorious show we did this year. I love those guys. Meeting Traci Guns from L.A Guns was a highlight for me. He was so genuine and funny. I can actually remember their tour manager at the time offered me $50 for my Freddie Mercury T-shirt as he liked it so much. I refused to sell it to him though, ha!
What is the best and worst thing about being in a band?
The best thing is that we get to do what we love and that is playing music. The worst thing is that it can get stressful at times.
What do you consider to be the bands greatest achievement to date?
Sharing the stage with bands such as Hardcore Superstar, Inglorious, L.A Guns, Tigertailz, Vains of Jenna and Enuff Z'nuff to name a few. Rock legend Ozzy Osborne has even listened to our music and we have recently caught the attention of Craig Goldy from metal giants Dio.
What plans do the band have for 2017?
To release an EP with the current line-up. A few cool gigs and tours are also in the works too. It's going to potentially be an exciting year for us.
What do you think of Llanelli and why did you chose to play there?
We love it. We always get a great reception when we come in to town. Funny enough it was a good friend of the bands birthday on the day we played the Masons ( 10/12/16) so it made it extra special for us.
What can people who haven’t heard the band before expect from a Forever Vendetta gig?
A very big sound for one. Great sing a long rock songs that just make you want to put your fist in the air and rock out.
Where can people find out more about the band ?
They can follow us on social media for regular updates.
