In With The Jellyfish & The MLC live

Last Friday 10th March saw the return of In With The Jellyfish & The MLC to the Masons Arms Llanelli .

The MLC kicked off their set with some newer original tracks that I was unfamiliar with. In true The MLC style vocalist Stan was on form engaging the crowd fully with their upbeat , classic punks tunes, by the third song. The MLC’s original tunes included a class version of Mad which was well performed, Pornstar and Motor Running. Gig goer and Masons regular Kieran Kiely was even called to the stage to assist Stan on vocals for original track Zombieland, which went down a storm. The MLC involved the crowd fully and got them singing along to their tunes so much so that the crowd shouted for ‘one more, one more’ at the end of their set. The MLC obliged with one more track which pleased the crowd fully but left them anxiously waiting for even more live music!

The crowd did not have to wait long for more great music ,as next up, headlining the night was ‘In With The Jellyfish.’ The band with the great name, topped the night with their thoroughly entertaining and catchy mix of originals including Discotechnique and Anatomy Attack. Looking round the pub you could see some avid supporters of the band wearing their ‘In With The Jellyfish’ tshirts. It was easy to see why the band is growing in popularity and they even got the crowd singing along to one of their humorous tracks, with the words wibble, wobble, wibble, wobble, or words to the effect, haha. Cover tunes included flawless versions of Limp Bizkit and System Of A Down tracks amongst others. All in all an extremely entertaining set and an excellent night of live music.
